The newly formed Cowboys vs Cancer program, formerly Coaches vs Cancer, operates as a committee under the Eddie Sutton Foundation.  While Coaches vs Cancer is a national partnership solely between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society, the Cowboys vs Cancer program includes all OSU sports and will align with additional reputable cancer research foundations.  This inclusiveness reflects the way the Cowboy family has embraced the fight against this dreaded disease across all sports.  Cowboys vs Cancer will continue to support the American Cancer Society through men's basketball and will also expand the program to support additional reputable research organizations, as well as make a difference in the lives of individuals and families.

 

The Cowboys vs Cancer Committee consists of dedicated volunteers who work closely with OSU Athletics to honor cancer survivors prior to a variety of sporting events, coordinate hospital visits for coaches and student athletes, coordinate the annual Birthday Bash for kids in treatment or who have completed treatment, and assist individuals and families in the fight.
